Following recent surveys, Openreach engineers have started installing Full Fibre at Malting Mead. Once the work is complete, each flat will have a fibre junction box installed on the outside wall, close to the living room. Arranging the connection from this external box into each flat will be the responsibility of the individual resident or owner, through their chosen broadband provider.
Existing routers may need to be upgraded to support the new Full Fibre connection. If you wish to continue using a landline, you may also need a compatible digital handset.
BT is retiring its analogue copper phone network, with the transition due to be completed by 31 January 2027. If you rely on a landline, you should contact your telephone or broadband provider before this date to discuss the arrangements for your service.
